Women’s Bible Study: “Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent”
This is a
7
week detailed study of
Psalms
120–134.
Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy,
these 15
Psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and
praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. We will
explore the background of each psalm and psalmist, the majority of which
were written by David.

Finding Your
Story With God
This 14 week course is
based on the book, To Be Told (Know your story, Shape your future) By Dan
Allender, PhD. Everyone wants clearer guidance from God on what to do with
their future. Through reading and discussing this book, one can learn to
listen to the stories of their lives and begin to identify the themes that
God has written there. To grow in faith and purpose we must look at both our
hope and our heartache. By reading and discussing this book the hope is to
see how God has worked in our lives through the brokenness and the joy. By
better understanding our stories so far we can then begin to coauthor the
rest of our stories with God.

Vice and Virtue In
An Age Of Moral Confusion
“Excellence, then,
being of two kinds, intellectual and moral, intellectual excellence in the
main owes both its birth and its growth to teaching, while moral excellence
comes about as a result of habit . . . excellences we get by first
exercising them... men become builders by building and lyre-players by
playing the lyre; so too we become just by doing just acts, temperate by
doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts.” , Nicomachean Ethics.
In this 9 week course, led by Dr. Sandy Seay, we will examine “vice and
virtue in an age of moral confusion” and, as our text, we will use
Steering Through Chaos, by Dr. Os Guiness. This book approaches various
questions of morals and ethics from the standpoint of the classic Seven
Deadly Sins, and presents arguments from the great thinkers of antiquity and
onward. We will have a 9 week course. The first week will be an
introduction followed by a discussion of one Deadly Sin per week, with the
final week reserved for observation and reflection on the material.
