Brewer rector of Calvary-St. George’s Church in New York City The Office of the Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop Katherine Schori has notified the Diocese of Central Florida that Bishop-Elect Brewer has received the required majority of consents in the canonical consent process.
As Jesus said, `My house will be called a house of prayer,' Lord, You are continuing to build 'this house' [this diocese] in Central Florida. As it is writien in psalm 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. Help us, Holy Spirit, to offer prayers for the new bishop as he prepares to lead the diocese. And prayers of thanks for Bishop Howe for all of his blessing and ministry these 22 years. We humbly pray this by faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
