The Rev. Canon J. Gary L'Hommedieu
Pastoral Care

Ext. 206

Canon L'Hommedieu is in charge of Pastoral Care ministries for the Cathedral as well as Editor of the Pier Review monthly ministry journal. He received his B.A. from Tufts University and M.Div. from Episcopal Divinity School.
He also is also certified from the Christian Counseling & Education Foundation.

He is also Chaplain of the Order of

Associate Clergy

Rev. Olsen is Associate clergy at the Cathedral. He holds a BGS from the University of Michigan; an M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary; a D.Min. from Reformed Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. from the Graduate Theological Foundation at Oxford University, England.

DEACONS




The Rev. Carolyn Petersen

Carolyn's ministry is focused in pastoral care, including hospital visitation, one-on-one spiritual care or direction, inner (emotional) healing and healing prayer. She facilitates classes in spiritual formation and serves in the liturgy on Sundays and at the Wednesday healing service.

Her diaconal outreach includes IDignity, Vacation Bible School, and prayer appointments at the Glennon House at All Saints Church. Carolyn holds B.A. and M.Ed. Degrees from the University of Wyoming, and a diploma from the Institute of Christian Studies.

 



The Rev. Michael Matheny

Michael's ministry is focused in two areas, pastoral care, including hospital and home visitations, and media ministry providing media related services to not-for profits, churches and christian organizations. He facilitates classes in evangelism in Florida, and serves in the liturgy on Sundays.

Michael holds B.A. in Communication and English from Rhodes College, and Masters in Communications and Technology from Rollins College. He also is a graduate from the Institute of Christian Studies and teaches classes there. He is an avid reader and enjoys film as art and motorcycling in his spare time.

Kathy performs all of the accounting and financial operations for the Cathedral as well as oversees the maintenance of the physical plant.

She oversees the general business administration of the office.

Anne directs the Cathedral teens spiritually and provides them with unique opportunities to grow in their relationship with Christ.

She also oversees mission opportunities for youth and adults on a local, national, and international level.

She selects curriculums, organizes Vacation Bible School, trains volunteers, and provides fellowship opportunities for young Cathedral families.

Anne and NIcole coordinate all childcare for children age 3 and under through a paid Staff and parent volunteers. This includes Sunday morning and Wednesday evening childcare, as well as concerts, Holy days and other special events. They also organize support and fellowship opportunities for Cathedral mom’s and families through monthly and special events, including Mom’s Night Out, Parent’s Night Out and the Semi-Annual Nursery Parent Dinners.

(sermons, Dean's Hour, classes). She also creates brochures, signs and flyers. Her experience includes over 21 years as a graphic designer at Orlando Sentinel Communications and as a production artist at Marriott Vacation Club International.

Roxanne McCormic
Parish Nurse

Roxanne McCormac has been a member of the Cathedral since 1990. She lives in Orlando with her husband Bill and their two children, Catherine and Billy. Roxanne is an RN and has a broad nursing background in medical surgical, oncology education, women’s health and dialysis. She also has experience in teaching and management. Recognizing the church as a place of health and wholeness Roxanne felt called to become a Parish Nurse. She completed the Parish Nurse Preparation Course at Florida Hospital in September 2006.

Anne is the Cathedral's Historian and Archivist. She has the enormous task of collecting, organizing and archiving all information related to the Cathedral.
