Preteen Youth Group at the Cathedral
EYC is a dynamic preteen ministry where kids in 3rd through 5th grades have an opportunity to build and deepen relationships with each other through Christ in a positive and fun environment!
Parents of EYC and EYC Jr. Kids provide delicious dinners.
EYC JR begins January 13, 2008 No Meeting scheduled for March 3rd, March 23rd and March 30th.
CIRCLE OF FRIENDS A special small group experience is being planned for our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls! We will meet for a one time discussion and lunch with some amazing women of the Cathedral. Our younger girls will have the opportunity to spend quality time with older teens who exemplify what it means to be a young Christian girl in today's society. We will base our discussion on a fantastic book called "The Velveteen Principles" A Guide to Becoming Real, Hidden Wisdom from a Children's Classic by Toni Raiten - D'Antonio. This book speaks to the values of honesty, warmth and friendship. It portrays that even in a complex world - simple truths can change everything. This book will be available in the Cathedral Bookstore, however girls are invited to attend even if they have not yet read the book.
We will offer Circle of Friends periodically during the year with a difference discussion each meeting.
.................................................... Camp Wingmann This beautiful camp is located in Avon Park, FL. Located on 42 acres wrapping around Trout Lake, this camp features rustic cabins nestled under moss-draped live oaks. Week long sessions include swimming, kayaking, tubing and many other sports and recreation activities. A daily time for Chapel and Bible study is also offered.
You may pick up registration forms and brochures from the Children's Ministry office. Each session costs $295 per camper. Registration is due 2 weeks prior to each session. Please contact Nicole Franco for scholarship availability.

Children's Church Helpers:
If you are in 3rd - 5th grade and would like to apply to be a Children's Church Helper, please see Mrs. Nicole. We are looking for enthusiastic and creative volunteers to assist with the younger children from 10:00 am to 11:00 on Sundays. Please apply - we would love to add you to our Sunday morning team!
