Welcome Note

I want to welcome you to the Cathedral Church of St. Luke. We hope that you feel the way we do; that our worship is awesome, the people are welcoming, the Children and Youth ministries are second to none, and that this is a place where you will be able to find a faithful Christian community and where you can grow deeply in your Christian faith.

Let me encourage you to explore this website and discover all that the Cathedral has to offer for your encouragement, spiritual growth and ministry. I believe you will find just how blessed we are with great people, talent and commitment to Christ.

If you have any questions or would like more information please feel free to contact me at

407-849-0680 or deanclark@stlukescathedral.org.

May you know the love and blessing of our Lord Jesus.

The Very Rev. Anthony P. Clark, Dean

Steps to Membership

Everyone is expected to:

  • Take the Cathedral 101 class, offered the second Sunday of each month.

  • Attend Sunday worship regularly and often. (3+ times a month.)

  • It is expected that a Confirmed member will be an active participant in one of the ministries of the Cathedral.*

  • It is also expected that a Confirmed member be a regular financial contributor (on     record) to the ministry of the Cathedral.**

 Then:

  • Those already confirmed in the Episcopal Church may then contact Theo Gordon at the Cathedral office, 407-849-0680 and request that she send for a letter of transfer from your former parish.

  • Those not already confirmed in the Episcopal Church may contact Melissa Kennedy at 407-849-0680 ext. 202 to be placed on the list for confirmation or reception by our Bishop. His official day of visitation is on Easter Sunday morning.

  • If you have not yet been baptized please contact Melissa Kennedy to be scheduled for the next possible baptism. (You must be baptized to receive Holy Communion.)

** Financial contributor: The ministry of the Cathedral operates out of the giving of its members. It is important that each member is working to contribute regularly and generously to our ongoing ministry. Using pledge envelops is the best way to have your giving on record.

Cathedral 101

Newcomers are invited to an informal welocme and information session held the second Sunday of each month, from 9:10 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. in the Activity Room of the Education Building. No registration is necessary. This class is an introduction to the Cathedral Community. Come for coffee, get acquainted, hear about the paths to membership, marriage and baptism at the Cathedral, and begin to find your place in our community.

Newcomer Dinner

Let me be the first to invite you to attend one of our newcomer dinners. Several times a year newcomers are invited to a covered dish dinner. These dinners are held in the home of Cathedral members and they are casual and fun. They are a nice way to meet Cathedral Clergy, other newcomers and some of our Cathedral members, as well. The agenda is laid back and the food is great. Dinners start at 6:00 p.m. and end by 8:00 p.m. Our next dinner will be sometime this summer, date to be determined. (This dinner is primarily for Adults. No child care is provided.)
